Macbook Lcd
is it possible to plug in a macbook air to an LCD projector? how?
See, I opt to buy this laptop but as a college student, classroom presentations are a must. I just don’t know yet if it is possible for it to be plugged into an LCD projector coz it doesn’t have any slot in it.
Depends on the projector. According to the Apple site, the Macbook air has a mini-DVI port for connecting a monitor, and adapters for DVI and VGA are included in the box.
If the projector has a DVI port or a VGA port, you’re good. If it only has composite RCA connectors, you’re going to need to go shopping.
In that case, you’ve got 4 options:
1. Go to the apple store and buy a mini-DVI-to-composite RCA adapter. The site says this is optional.
2. Go to an electronics store and get a DVI-to-composite RCA adapter
3. Go to a computer shop or office supply store and hope they stock a VGA-to-composite RCA adapter.
4. Go to an office supply store and buy a pack of acetate sheets and a bunch of fine tipped markers to do this the old fashioned way. Maybe buy some chalk as backup.
