Old Macintosh Laptop?
I was given a pretty old Mac (Apple) Laptop. A Macintosh Powerbook 1400 Series. When it was used by my relative (who purchased and previously owned it) she used AOL on it. I do not use AOL. I use Comcast High Speed DSL, so I wanted to know the procedure for hooking up wireless internet to the laptop. Is it possible to use wireless on it even though it’s old? Do I need an ethernet card? And if it’s not wireless internet capable can I atleast use DSL that’s not wireless? Help.
The Powerbook 1400 has no ethernet. However,it has pc card slots–two type II and one type III. It will support up to os 9. Airport was available on os 9 if you can find an Airport pc card it just may work!
